Section 136 CAMA 2020

Section 136 Companies and Allied Matters Act is about Penalty for concealing name of creditor, etc. It is under Reduction of Share Capital of Chapter 7 of PART B (Incorporation of Companies and Incidental Matters) of the Act.

Penalty for concealing name of creditor, etc.

If an officer of the company—
(a) wilfully conceals the name of a creditor entitled to object to the reduction of capital,

(b) wilfully misrepresents the nature or amount of the debt or claim of any creditor, or

(c) aids, abets or is privy to any concealment or misrepresentation, he commits an offence and is liable on conviction to such fines as the Commission shall specify by regulation.
