The Security Council

Resolves that the application of Italy to the Security Council for membership in the United Nations be referred to the Security Council’s Committee on the Admission of New Members for study and report to the Security Council.

Adopted al the 137th meeting by 10 votes to none, with 1 abstention (Australia).
