United Nations Security Council Resolution 170 – Admission of new Members to the UN: Tanganyika

170 (1961). Resolation of 14 December 1961

The Security Council,

Having examined the application of Tanganyika for admission to the United Nations,

Recommends to the General Assembly that Tanganyika be admitted to membership in the United Nations.

Adopted unanimously at the 986th meeting.
