Section 669 CAMA 2020

Section 669 Companies and Allied Matters Act is about Falsification of books. It is under Chapter 24 (Provisions applicable to every mode of winding-up) of the Act.

An officer or contributory of any company being wound up who destroys, mutilates, alters or falsifies books, papers or securities, or makes or is privy to the making of any false or fraudulent entry in any register, book of account or document belonging to the company with intent to defraud or deceive any person, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of two years or a fine as the Court deems fit.
