Section 679 Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020

Section 679 CAMA 2020

Section 679 Companies and Allied Matters Act is about Notification that a company is in liquidation. It is under Chapter 24 (Provisions applicable to every mode of winding-up) of the Act.

(1) Where a company is being wound up, whether by, or under the supervision of, the Court or voluntarily, every invoice, order for goods or business letter issued by, or on behalf of, the company or a liquidator of the company, or a receiver or manager of the property of the company, being a document on or in which the name of the company appears, shall contain a statement that the company is being wound up.

(2) If default is made in complying with the provisions of this section—

(a) the company,

(b) any officer of the company,

(c) any liquidator of the company, and

(d) any receiver or manager,are liable to a penalty as prescribed by the Commission in the regulations.
