Section 688 CAMA 2020

Section 688 Companies and Allied Matters Act is about Judicial notice of signatures of certain government officials. It is under Chapter 24 (Provisions applicable to every mode of winding-up) of the Act.

(1) Documents purporting to be orders or certificates made or issued by the Attorney-General of the Federation or the Commission for the purposes of this Act and to be signed by the Attorney-General of the Federation or the Accountant-General of the Federation, or under the seal of the Commission or signed by any person authorised in that behalf by them, and, in proper case, to be sealed where necessary, shall be received in evidence and deemed to be such orders, or certificates without further proof, unless the contrary is shown.

(2) A certificate signed by the Attorney-General for the Federation,Accountant-General of the Federation or under the seal of the Commission that any order made, certificate issued, or act done, is the order, certificate or act of the Attorney-General of the Federation, Accountant-General of the Federation or the Commission, as the case may be, shall be conclusive of the fact so certified.
