Section 18 Cybercrimes Act

Section 18 of the Nigerian Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.) Act, 2015 is about Cyber terrorism. It is under Part III (Offences and Penalties) of the Act.

(1) A Person who accesses or causes to be accessed any Computer or Computer System or Network for purposes of terrorism, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to life imprisonment.

(2) For the purpose of this section, “terrorism” shall have the same meaning under the Terrorism (Prevention) Act, 2011, as amended.
