Section 16 Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018

Section 16 of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 is about The Seal of the Commission. It is under Part II (Establishment of the Federal Competition an Consumer Protection Commission) of the Act.

(1) The fixing of the seal of the Commission shall be authenticated by the signatures of the Executive Chairman or any person generally or specifically authorised by the Commission to act for that purpose.

(2) Any contract or instrument, which if made or executed by a person not being a body corporate would not be required to be under seal, may be made or executed on behalf of the Commission by the Executive Chairman or any person generally or specifically authorised by the Commission to act for that purpose.

(3) Any document purporting to be a document duly executed under the seal of the Commission shall be received in evidence and shall, unless the contrary is proved, be presumed to be so executed.
