5 U.S. Code § 5706

5.U.S. Code § 5706 is about Allowable travel expenses. It is under Subchapter I (Travel And Subsistence Expenses; Mileage Allowances) of Chapter 57 (Travel, Transportation, And Subsistence) of Subpart D (Pay and Allowances) of Part III (Employees) of Title 5 (Government Organizations and Employees) of the Code.

Except as otherwise permitted by this subchapter or by statutes relating to members of the uniformed services, only actual and necessary travel expenses may be allowed to an individual holding employment or appointment under the United States.
