Rule 3011 Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure

Rule 3011 of the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure is about Chapter 7, Subchapter V of Chapter 11, Chapter 12, and Chapter 13—Listing Unclaimed Funds. It is under Part III (Claims and Distribution to Creditors and Equity Interest Holders; Plans) of the Rules.

(a) Filing the List. The trustee must:

(1) file a list of the known names and addresses of entities entitled to payment from any remaining property of the estate that is paid into court under § 347(a); and

(2) include the amount due each entity.

(b) Making the Information Searchable. On the court’s website, the clerk must provide searchable access to information about funds deposited under § 347(a). The court may, for cause, limit access to that information in a specific case.
