Section 14 Civil Aviation Act 2022

Section 14 of the Civil Aviation Act 2022 is about Service in the Authority to be pensionable. It is under Part IV (Management and Staff of the Authority) of the Act.

(1) Service in the Authority shall be public service for the purpose of the Pension Reform Act and accordingly, officers and other staff of the Authority shall in respect of their service in the Authority, be entitled to pension,
severance and other retirement benefits in conformity with provisions of the Pension Reform Act and the approved conditions of service of the Authority.

(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (1), nothing in this Act shall prevent the appointment of a person to any office on terms which preclude the grant of pension and retirement benefits in respect of that office.

(3) For the purpose of the application of the provisions of the Pension Reform Act any power exercisable by a Minister or any other authority of the Government of the Federation not being the power to make regulations is vested in and shall be exercisable by the Board.
