Section 16 National Health Act
Section 16 National Health Act 2014 is about Health Services at non-health establishments and at public health establishments other than hospitals. It is under Part II (Health Establishments and Technologies) of the Act.
(1) The Minister may prescribe—
(a) minimum standards and requirements for the provision of health services in locations other than health establishments, including schools and other public places ; and
(b) penalties for any contravention of, or failure to comply with, any such standards or requirements.
(2) The Minister may, subject to the provisions of any other law, prescribe conditions relating to traditional health practices to ensure the health and wellbeing of persons who are subject to such health practices.
(3) Without prejudice to section 16 of this Act, the House of Assembly in any State may make laws for the provision of health services at non-health establishments in the State.
