Section 18 Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023

Section 18 of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 is about Pension. It is under Part III (Appointment of the National Commissioner, and Other Staff of the Commission) of the Act.

(1) Staff of the Commission shall be entitled to pension and other retirement benefits, as prescribed under the Pension Reform Act.

(2) Without prejudice to the provisions of subsection (1), nothing in this Act shall prevent the appointment of a person to any office on conditions, which preclude the grant of pension and other retirement benefits in respect of that office.

(3) For the application of the provisions of the Pension Reform Act, any power exercisable by a Minister or other authority of the Federal Government, other than the power to make regulations under the Pension Reform Act, shall be vested in, and exercisable by the Council.
