Section 220 Electricity Act 2023

Section 220 of the Electricity Act 2023 is about Obstruction and iropersonation. It is under Part XX (Offences and Penalties) of the Act.

(1) A person who willfully and intentionally obstructs, retrains, prevents, harasses or injures any person lawfully carrying on duties on half of a licensee, franchisee or permit holder, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of at least 2000,000 or imprisonment for a term not more than six years or both.

(2) A person who impersonates or falsely presents or parade as an employee of a licensee, franchisee or permit holder under this Act, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of N300,000 or imprisonment for a term of at least seven years or both.
