Section 4 Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018

Section 4 of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 is about Composition of the Commission. It is under Part II (Establishment of the Federal Competition an Consumer Protection Commission) of the Act.

(1) There is established for the Commission a Governing Board charged with the administration of the affairs of the Commission.

(2) The Board consists of 8 Commissioners made up of-
(a) a Chairman;

(b) a Chief Executive who shall also be the Executive Vice-Chairman;
(c) two Executive Commissioners; and
(d) four non-executive Commissioners,

(3) The Commission shall not be incapacitated from carrying out its powers or functions by virtue of any vacancy or defect in the appointment of the Executive Vice-Chairman or any of the Commissioners.
