Section 41 Nigerian Copyright Act 2022

Section 41 Copyright Act

Section 41 Copyright Act 2022 is about Infringement actionable as a breach of statutory duty. It is under Part IV (Copyright Infringements) of the Act.

(1) An infringement of the rights conferred by section 14 of this Act is actionable as a breach of statutory duty owed to the person entitled to the right.

(2) In any proceeding for infringement of a right conferred under section 14 of this Act, the person whose rights has been infringed upon shall be entitled to an award of damages, injunction and any other remedy as the court may deem fit to award in the circumstances.
