Section 482 Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020

Section 482 CAMA 2020

Section 482 Companies and Allied Matters Act is about Details to be stated on documents. It is under Chapter 18 (Administration of companies: nature of administration) of the Act.

(1) If a company is in administration, every business document issued by or on behalf of the company or the administrator, and all the company’s websites, shall state—

(a) the name of the administrator ; and

(b) that the affairs, business and property of the company are being managed by the administrator.

(2) An administrator, officer of the company or the company who, without reasonable excuse, authorises or permits a contravention of subsection (1),commits an offence.

(3) In subsection (1), “business document” includes—

(a) an invoice ;

(b) an order for goods or services ;

(c) a business letter ; and

(d) an order form, whether in hard copy, electronic or any other form.
