Section 5 Nigeria Startup Act

Section 5 Nigeria Startup Act 2022 is about Tenure of office of members of the Council. It is under Part II (Establishment of the National Council for Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship) of the Act.

(1) A member of the Council who is an ex-officio member shall cease to hold the office on the basis of which he became a member of the Council, where his term of office expires.

(2) A member of the Council, other than an ex-officio member, shall hold office —
(a) for a term of two years and may be eligible for re-appointment for another term of two years and no more ; and
(b) on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.

(3) A member of the Council other than an ex-officio member shall —
(a) be a person of proven integrity ; and
(b) have at least than 10 years cognate experience in public or private service.
