Section 56 Electricity Act 2023

Section 56 of the Electricity Act 2023 is about Accounts of the Commission. It is under Part V (Establishment, Functions and Powers of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission) of the Act.

(1) The Commission shall ensure that proper accounts and other records relating to such accounts are kept in respect of all the Commission’s activities, funds and property, including such particular accounts and records as the Minister may require.

(2) The Commission shall, not later than three months, after the end of the financial year, prepare and submit to the Auditor General for the Federation and National Assembly, a statement of accounts in respect of that financial year.

(3) The Commission shall present quarterly reports on all its activities to the President and National Assembly.
