Section 599 CAMA 2020
Section 599 Companies and Allied Matters Act is about Power to appoint special manager. It is under Chapter 21 (Winding-up by the court jurisdiction) of the Act.
(1) Where the official receiver becomes the liquidator of a company, whether provisionally or otherwise, he may, if satisfied that the nature of the estate or business of the company, interests of the creditors or contributories generally, require the appointment of a special manager of the estate or business of the company other than himself, apply to the Court for an order appointing a special manager to act during such time as the Court may direct, with the powers, including those of a receiver or manager, as maybe entrusted to him by the Court and the Court may make any order necessary.
(2) A special manager appointed under this section shall receive remuneration as fixed by the Court and shall give security and account in such manner as the Commission directs.
