United Nations Security Council Resolution 1426 – Admission of new Members

Resolution 1426 (2002)

The Security Council,

Having examined the application of the Swiss Confederation for admission tothe United Nations (S/2002/801),

Recommends to the General Assembly that the Swiss Confederation be admitted to membership in the United Nations.

Adopted by the Security Council at its 4585th meeting,on 24 July 2002.
