United Nations Security Council Resolution 149 – Admission of new Members to the UN: Burkina Faso

149 (1960). Resolution of 23 August 1960

The Security Council,

Having examined the application of the Republic of the Upper Volta,

Recommends to the General Assembly that the Republic of the Upper Volta be admitted to membership in the United Nations.

Adopted unanimously at the 891st meeting.
