United Nations Security Council Resolution 2685 – Reports of the Secretary-General on the Sudan and South Sudan (UNITAMS)
Resolution 2685 (2023)
The Security Council,
Reaffirming all its previous resolutions, presidential statements and press statements concerning the situation in Sudan,
Reaffirming its strong commitment to the sovereignty, unity, independence, and territorial integrity of Sudan,
Taking note of the Report of the Secretary-General of the United Nations on the situation in Sudan and the activities of the United Nations Integrated Transition Assistance Mission (UNITAMS) (S/2023/355),
1. Decides the the mandate of UNITAMS until 3 December 2023 as contained in paragraph 3 of resolution 2579 (2021) and as previously extended by resolution 2636 (2022);
2. Requests the Secretary-General to continue to report to the Security Council every 90 days on the implementation of UNITAMS mandate as set out in resolution 2579 (2021), with the next report due by 30 August;
3. Decides to remain actively seized of the matter.
