United Nations Security Council Resolution 306 – Recommendation regarding the appointment of the Secretary-General

Resolution 306 (1971) of 21 December 1971

The Security Council,

Having considered the question of the recommendation for the appointment of the Secretary-General of the United Nations,

Recommends to the General Assembly that Mr. Kurt Waldheim be appointed Secretary-General of t!he United Nations.

Adopted unanimously at the 1620th meeting (private meeting).
