5 Legal Practitioners Remuneration (For Business, Legal Service And Representation) Order 2023

Paragraph 5 of the Legal Practitioners Remuneration (For Business, Legal Service And Representation) Order 2023 is about A Legal practitioner may elect to charge differently. It provides as follows:

In all cases to which the remuneration prescribed in Scales 1 to 5 set out in the Schedule to this Order would be chargeable, a legal practitioner may, before undertaking any business or service, by writing under his hand, communicated to the client-

(a) elect that his remuneration shall be in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 2 of this Order; and

(b) such remuneration shall not be lower than the minimum set out in the relevant or appropriate Scale.
