Section 186 Employment Rights Act 1996

Section 186 of the Employment Rights Act 1996 is about Limit on amount payable under section 182. It provides as follows:

(1) The total amount payable to an employee in respect of any debt to which this Part applies, where the amount of the debt is referable to a period of time, shall not exceed—

(a) £719 in respect of any one week, or

(b)in respect of a shorter period, an amount bearing the same proportion to £719 as that shorter period bears to a week.
