Section 49 NDLEA Act

Section 49 of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act 1989 is about Obstruction of Agency or authorised officers. It provides as follows:

Any person who-
(a) wilfully obstructs the Agency or any authorised officer of the Agency in the
exercise of any of the powers conferred on the Agency by this Act; or

(b) fails to comply with any lawful enquiry or requirements made by any authorised officer in accordance with the provisions of this Act, shall be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to a fine of N20,000 or to both such imprisonment and fine.
